Debunking the Myths of Money

The truth is that many of these beliefs and attitudes that some people hold have about money are nothing but inaccurate generalizations and excuses that keep them from living a truly a happy and wealthy life. In order to truly align your mind to wealth creation, you must debunk these negative myths and really look at the facts…

Myth: Having a lot of money will change you (into a bad person).

Fact: Money is a personality magnifier. It brings out the true person within you. If you are a selfish and nasty person by nature, having money will make you even more nasty and selfish. However, if you are a kind, generous and loving person deep down inside, money will magnify your goodness.

Myth: Money isn’t everything.

Fact: This is the top excuse given by poor people who are in denial. The truth is that everything is money. Without money, you cannot maximize other important values such as family, career, health, spirituality and relationships.

Myth: Money will make you less spiritual

Fact: If you are by nature a spiritual person, having money will allow you to touch more lives and help you do more of god’s work. In fact, the wealthiest people in the world are extremely spiritual. Not having to worry about money anymore allows many of the rich to focus on the more important things in life. Many truly wealthy people believe they don’t own their money. They are just custodians of God’s wealth.

Myth: Rich people are materialistic. They worship money.

Fact: It is the people who lack money who worship it. Who works all day, year after year in a job which they hate, just for the money? Who are those who constantly sacrifice their health and family to make more money?

In fact, the rich rarely work because of money. They work because of passion and a sense of personal mission. Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, George Lucas, Michael Jordan & Steve Jobs certainly don’t work for money…they don’t need to.

Myth: To have more money, I will be depriving others of it.

Fact: When you become rich, you actually create more wealth for other people. Wealth multiplies into more wealth. Bill Gates is the richest man in the world because he has created the most value in people’s lives through the creation of Microsoft and Windows. Because of his invention, so many more millionaires have been created as a result. Think about it, if Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel did not exist, would you have been able to create as much wealth as you have today?

Myth: Money is the ‘root of all evil’.

Fact: The lack of money is the root of all evil. The number one cause of murder, cheating, stealing, lying is poverty (the lack of money)

“Coincidence” and the Power of Intention

What if I told you there was no such thing as coincidence? Would you argue with me? I believe in the power of raised awareness, of positive intention, of thoughts becoming actions. What is our role in each of these? How can we manifest serendipitous coincidence in all the positive areas of our lives?

There are no coincidences in life. Only moments of raised awareness.
Think about it. You have a conversation with a friend about how a song reminds you of someone and suddenly, that song is played everywhere. You take a liking to a new model of car that just came out. Now you see it everywhere. You’ve raised your awareness about a particular object and your attention is focused on it. Therefore you notice it appears all the time. Think about how many things pass you by each day, what would happen if you shifted your attention onto them?

Kind of makes you wonder what the power of attention can do. If our life’s “coincidences” happened in the areas of abundance, love and prosperity, would we all be happier? Where are you focusing your attention?

Inner Balance = Outer Awareness.
It’s an easy equation. When you’re at peace within yourself, you notice more and have the capacity to absorb more outside of yourself. Take a close look at the fibers that weave all those chance happenings together. Think about your role in them. Had you verbalized or focused mentally on certain intentions? The Universe is not conspiring for or against you without your permission. Your thoughts and your emotions are driving your chance moments. Your job is to pay attention.

Your life reflects much of what is going around you and the balance you’ve created. Sometimes our signals are far more innocuous than others. Are you able to see them? When we are calm and happy with our place in life (which admittedly is not 100 percent of the time), we notice these little signals much more easily. When was the last time you experienced a coincidence? Now, how would you rate your life balance?

Reading between the lines.
By becoming in tune with life’s little signals, it’s actually fairly easy to determine if you’re headed in the right direction or into a dead-end. I’ll give you an example. Twice now I have taken interest in different condos in my area. And twice now the day before I was supposed to make an offer or go see them, something happened so they were taken off the market. Reading between the lines, my intuition tells me that isn’t not the right time - or those weren’t the right places. Pay attention to how you feel when coincidences occur. Do you have a knot in the pit of your stomach, or do you feel peaceful acceptance?

Each time you experience one of life’s coincidences, think back to how you manifested it. Did you recently have a conversation about it, an emotion or a strong thought? Probably so. You can choose to move forward, with said coincidence carrying you on a wave of positive energy, or you can choose to back off based on the emotional charge the coincidence provides. In the end though, your increased awareness is what brought it to your attention, so it’s up to you what you do with it.

Aha! Moments
Coincidence, serendipity, fate…all of these words imply an act of mischievous connection. Happenstance. While I secretly love to indulge in such ideas, I’m actually far more passionate about the moments in life when my clients confidently announce what they truly want to occur. Then, in our next session announce with amazement, “you’ll never guess what happened!” Of course, I heard the passion and depth with which they proclaimed what they wanted so I just grin and ask, “what happened? Fill me in…”

When you can verbally commit to what you want in life, you demand action from yourself and from the Universe. I call these - Passionate Proclamations!

Step 1: Become crystal clear about what you want.
Step 2: Proclaim said want with unabated passion!
Step 3: Do your part to make it happen.
Step 4: Watch for the Universe’s response in coincidences.

“Be careful what you wish for” is a common phrase. What we think about most - occurs. So let’s play a little mind game here because thoughts can be tricky. Where is your focus right now? Let’s say that you are worried about losing your job. You continue to think and verbalize that you are worried about losing your job. This seems like a positive thing, right? Who wants to lose their job? In reality though, what you are focusing on most is actually losing your job! If instead, you focus on what you want in an ideal job, “coincidence” would have it that life delivers it to you - in the form of a new job or your current job.

We so often forget that when you keep your thoughts away from what you don’t want and instead keep your emotions and intentions in the areas that you do want: you create powerful change within your own life. You create your reality. Have fun with the crazy coincidences and go ahead and laugh a little to yourself at the irony behind your thoughts becoming tangible answers. You’ve worked hard for it!

Attitude - Increase Your Confidence and Self-Image

First of all, I want you to listen to your thoughts. Now tell me, what thoughts fill your head? Would you label them as positive, or negative? Now let’s say you are walking down the street with these thoughts. Do you think anyone who would meet you would be able to tell you what’s on your mind? The answer to number one is up to you. But, the answer number two can be pretty generic. Although people will not be able to tell you exactly what you think, they will more or less have an idea of how you are feeling.

Here’s another question. When you enter a party filled with friends, do they all fall silent as if something terrible had happened? Or does everybody there perk up as if waiting for something exciting to happen? You know what? The answer to all these depends on your frame of mind. Thoughts are very powerful. They affect your general attitude.

The attitude you carry reflects on your appearance, too ; unless, of course, you are a great actor. And it doesn’t end there. Your attitude can also affect people around you. The type of attitude you carry depends on you. It can be either positive or negative. Positive thoughts have a filling effect. They are admittedly invigorating. Plus, the people around the person carrying positive thoughts are usually energized by this type of attitude. Negative thoughts on the other hand have a sapping effect on other people. Aside from making you look gloomy and sad, negative thoughts can turn a festive gathering into a funeral wake. A positive attitude attracts people, while a negative attitude repels them. People tend to shy away from those who carry a negative attitude. We can also define attitude as the way of looking at the world.

If you choose to focus on the negative things in the world, more or less you have a negative attitude brewing up. However, if you choose to focus on the positive things, you are more likely carry a positive attitude. You have much to gain from a very positive attitude. For one, studies have shown that a positive attitude promotes better health. Those with this kind of attitude also have more friends. projecting a positive attitude also helps one to handle stress and problems better than those who have a negative attitude. A positive attitude begins with a healthy self-image. If you will love the way you are and are satisfied, confident, and self-assured, you also make others are around feel the same way. A negative attitude, on the other hand, has, of course, an opposite effect. So, carrying a negative attitude has a twofold drawback. You feel bad about yourself, and you make others feel the same way. If you want to have a positive attitude, you have to feature healthy thoughts. This is probably very hard to do nowadays since, all around us, the media feeds us nothing but negative thoughts.

A study shows that for every 14 things a parent says to his or her child, only one is positive. This is truly a saddening thought. If you want a healthier outlook in life, you need to think happy thoughts, and you have to hear positive things as well. So, what can you do? Well, for starters, you could see a funny movie, you could play with children, spend some time telling jokes with friends. All these activities fill you with positive stimuli, which in turn promotes positive attitude. Although it is impossible to keep ourselves from the negative things around us, you can still carry a positive attitude by focusing on the good things, the positive things in life. And this positive attitude you now carry can be of benefit to other people. Sometimes when other people feel down, the thing people mostly do is try to give them advice. But sometimes, all they need is somebody to sit by them, and listen to them.

If you have a positive attitude you may be able to cheer them up without even having to say anything. If positive attitude is really great, why do people choose to adopt a negative attitude instead? One who carries a negative attitude may be actually sending a signal for attention. Before you get me wrong, feeling sad, angry, or gloomy is not wrong itself. But dwelling on these thoughts for far too long is not healthy either. There is a time to mourn. As always, if you are beset by troubles, even in your darkest hour, focus on the good things in life, you will always have hope. Problems become something you can overcome. You do not have much to lose by adopting a healthy, positive attitude. Studies show that such an attitude actually retards aging, makes you healthier, helps you develop a better stress coping mechanism, and has a very positive effect on all the people you meet every day. So, what’s not to like about a positive attitude? Adopt one today.

Using Your Mind Power To Achieve Your Desires

All human Beings were born with a boundless and immeasurable power. It is this power that has made you what you are today, and it is the power that will make you what you will be in a year, two years, five years etc.

All things got started with a thought. And it is this thought that is the power in you. Personal Development practitioners call this power - Mind Power. Mere thoughts are so powerful that it can turn into something tangible. All you have to do is to focus your mind into thinking in the right manner and this can make you achieve what you want to achieve.

If there is anything you desire that you feel you cannot have, what you need to do is tap into your Mind Power. The boundless and immeasurable power of your mind is richly endowed to provide your desire, in a matter of time.

Your first step in achieving your desire is to develop a passion. How much passion do you have for the thing you desire. Thinkers say Passion is Power! Create a strong passion for the thing you want, in your mind and in your actions.

Be clear in your mind the exact thing you want. Be specific about it. If it is a car you want, you must be definite about it - the type, model etc. Focus your mind about the exterior, the paint. The interior décor, the steering wheel, the upholstery. Fasten your mind on these details.

Visualise your desire. Use your mind to see how the car moves. See yourself entering the car, starting the car and driving it round your town, and waving to friends and acquaintances. Feel the enjoyment you want in the car.

Believe all these visualizations. See yourself actually owning the car, and all these becoming a reality.

From time to time, during your visualizations you will receive a spark of message to do one thing or the other. These are Inspired Actions. Take these actions without hesitations. These are actions demanded by the Universal Supreme Intelligence, after your subconscious has communicated your passion to Him, and He has communicated back to your subconscious mind.

Take these inspired actions and in a matter of time your desire will come true.

Spiritual Healing And The Use Of Intuition

As a spiritual healer I am frequently asked about intuition. The questions I am asked do not generally center on my use of intuition but more on how can someone develop intuition. This article will answer the question that I am most frequently asked.

So that we are starting from the same place, I want to begin by giving my definition of intuition. With this definition as a base we will be able to answer the main question that I am asked.

My definition is that we live in a world of data and of scientific principles. We live in a world of cause and effect. One action causes a specific response. Spiritual intuition goes beyond the boundaries of cause and effect. It is in fact the effect without an apparent cause. You know something without any observable input.

Now for the question that I am always asked when the subject of intuition comes up for discussion. “Is intuition something that is innate or is it a skill that can be learned”. Even though the last sentence seems to be an either/or question the answer is actually yes to both parts. Intuition is innate and yes, it is a skill that can be learned. Or stated differently, re-learned.

We are all by nature intuitive beings. We are born intuitive and always have the power within us. We have our 6th sense fully functioning the moment we enter the world. But this sixth sense needs our attention to continue to operate at full force. And the life that we are born into usually stops us from being quiet enough to pay attention to the subtle forces of intuition.

We are stopped from paying attention to our “gut feelings” by everything we learn as we grow up. We are taught to disregard the unscientific. We are taught to believe that only the actions that can be recorded and measured have any validity. And like any talent, lack of use causes stagnation and the loss of our natural abilities.

So the answer is that intuition is innate but the majority of us have lost all touch with are abilities. Which leads us into the second part of the question - can intuition be learned.

Our ability to be in touch with knowledge beyond the purely physical can be re-learned with practice and patience. Remember we are dealing with a natural talent that needs to be brought to the head of the class and not buried in the back dark recesses of our mind.

The first step is to accept that intuition is part of our nature. Because without acceptance we will not be able to move forward. After we have accepted our talents then we need to pay attention to all the little details in our lives. The details that we normally either just ignore or miss altogether. We must calm our minds and let our thoughts interpret our environment. Let our senses pick up cues that we are normally blind to.

Do not dismiss anything as being silly. Listen to your gut feelings. Always ask why something is happening. Always ask for the meaning of what seems like coincidences. If you do this on a consistent basis and with patience and with acceptance then you will quickly see your intuitive abilities expand and begin to become an important part of your life.
